Dry Creeks
A stylish and effective way to control water and erosion
Dry creeks are used to divert surface water while also mitigating erosion problems. Although they are one of the simplest water collection devices, drycreeks are also one of the most effective. The stone bed of a dry creek breaks up the water flow which reduces or prevents erosion and allows water to flow effectively down steeper slopes than a swale could handle. The water flow rate is generally much higher than an underground pipe system due to the volume of the drain bed.
